Our network of partner agencies works diligently to educate the community about childhood violence and its resulting trauma. They each provide resources and services to affected children and families.

• Family Counseling

  • The Family Safety Center effectively combines civil, criminal, health and social services for victims of family violence.

  • Victims to Victory is a Christian nonprofit organization whose mission is to help victims of crime and their families move from crisis to comfort through Christ.

  • Agape Child & Family Services is a Christian-based organization which provides children and families with healthy homes in the regional area through community restoration, homeless services, mentoring, foster care, adoption, maternity services and violence.

• Child Abuse Prevention and Help

  • Memphis Child Advocacy Center serves children who are victims of sexual and severe physical abuse through prevention, education and intervention.

  • The Exchange Club Family Center of Memphis offers programs and services in three major areas to help end child abuse and family violence.

• Judicial and Public Education

  • Memphis and Shelby County Juvenile Court oversees juvenile justice initiatives, including assessment screening for juveniles detained for serious offenses, and evaluation referrals for youth affected by mental health issues and substance abuse.

  • The University of Memphis Department of Social Work resides in the School of Urban Affairs & Public Policy within the College of Arts & Sciences.

• Health and Safety

  • LeBonheur Community Health & Wellbeing (LCHWB) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) subsidiary of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare whose mission is “to promote the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social well-being of children and families by collaborating with the community to provide a coordinated system of family-centered prevention, education, early intervention, support services and advocacy that extends beyond the hospital walls.”

  • Safeways offers education and training to promote community safety and quality of life interventions in and around apartment properties. Safeways also provides enhanced support and technical assistance for “Safeways Certified” properties that meet or exceed designated standards for crime prevention and resident safety.
